It can also convince us that ordinary sleep requires an ecosystem of sensors.

The simpler approach is to start with the problem. Give yourself enough time to sleep. Make the room comfortable. Build a routine you can repeat. Then add technology only where it removes a real obstacle.

If a $20 smart bulb makes evenings easier, that may be a smarter sleep investment than the fanciest tracker on the market. And if your current setup already works, you have permission to leave the sleep-tech aisle without optimizing anything at all.
